During the period 2019–2021, Movilex was awarded the national contract for the removal and management of scrap metal and other waste derived from the activities of Telefónica de España.

Main functions and responsibilities of Movilex

Movilex was responsible for the collection, transport, classification, treatment, and final disposal of the generated waste, ensuring its correct management in accordance with current regulations.

Of particular relevance was the removal of cable scrap, the main waste generated, which was processed at the Movilex Group facilities to obtain copper shot, subsequently destined for specialized foundries.

The facilities involved in the project are certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, endorsing the quality and environmental management processes applied.
