Its activity, within the scope of this project, was structured through two main companies:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Transpetro<\/strong>: responsible for the fleet of vessels operating with fuels, mainly gas and derivative tankers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sete Brasil<\/strong>: in charge of drilling rigs\u2014that is, vessels equipped with drills for well extraction, mainly in the <strong>Pre-salt<\/strong> layer in the Atlantic, off the coasts of <strong>Rio de Janeiro<\/strong> and <strong>Esp\u00edrito Santo<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>In 2014, as a result of Operation <strong>Lava Jato<\/strong>, a money laundering investigation carried out in Brazil, <strong>Sete Brasil<\/strong> ceased its activity, which led to the automatic cancellation of all its vessels. At that time, the <strong>South Atlantic Shipyard<\/strong> was working on the construction of seven drilling rigs.<\/p>\n\n<p>Faced with this situation, the shipyard considered reusing the parts already manufactured for other projects or selling them as scrap or second-hand material.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Main functions and responsibilities of Movilex<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>It is in this context that <strong>Movilex<\/strong> decided to join the project, acquiring:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>21,000 tons<\/strong> of naval steel blocks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>30,000 tons<\/strong> of plates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cables<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stainless steel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carbon steel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The various materials were cut into dimensions of <strong>1.5 m x 1 m x 0.5 m<\/strong>, in accordance with the specifications required by clients in <strong>Spain<\/strong>. To this end, Movilex hired several specialized companies to perform the cuts according to these measurements.<\/p>\n\n<p>The second-hand material that was not processed by Movilex was sent to various international destinations:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The plates, approximately <strong>30,000 tons<\/strong>, were exported to <strong>Egypt<\/strong> by sea.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The stainless steel was sent to <strong>India<\/strong> in containers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The cables were moved to a Movilex plant, where they are currently being processed by removing the plastic and coating for cable recovery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-48435","proyectos","type-proyectos","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/movilex.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/proyectos\/48435","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/movilex.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/proyectos"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/movilex.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/proyectos"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/movilex.es\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=48435"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
