Movilex Valencia modernizes its Sollana plant with 4.3 million
Valencia, March 25, 2026. Movilex, a company specializing in the management, treatment, and recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), has begun work to modernize its Movilex Valencia plant located in Sollana, with a total investment of 4.3 million euros. The project includes 1.7 million euros in co-financing from European NextGenerationEU funds through the Industrial Sector Value Chain Promotion Program (CVI 2025), from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism of the Government of Spain. Work is expected to be completed by early 2029.
The project includes the implementation of two new automated treatment lines: one for processing small electrical and electronic appliances and another specifically for flat screens. It also includes the development of civil works and auxiliary facilities necessary for their commissioning. The new lines will incorporate advanced separation technologies and particle capture and filtration systems, designed to improve process efficiency and the quality of recovered materials, and have been conceived in line with the best available techniques in the sector and current European regulations.
Beyond its technical dimension, this investment has a direct impact on the productive and social fabric of the Valencian Community. The Sollana plant, in a municipality of just over 5,000 inhabitants, employs 37 Movilex workers, making it one of the main industrial employers in the area. The modernization of the facility strengthens the stability of these jobs and consolidates the company’s presence as a leading industrial player in the region.
“This investment reflects our commitment to continue strengthening an industrial model based on technical rigor, efficiency, and material recovery,” said Luis García-Torremocha, CEO of Movilex. “This project reinforces our commitment to the industrial and environmental development of the Valencian Community, and the support of the CVI 2025 program provides a key boost to continue advancing towards a more sustainable and competitive production model.”
This action is part of the technological transformation plan that Movilex is executing in the Valencian Community and nationwide, aimed at strengthening its industrial network through the incorporation of new capabilities and the continuous improvement of its processes. In this context, the company has recently undertaken other significant investments: 3 million euros in its Alicante plant and 2.4 million in Movilex Badajoz (Lobón), consolidating its position as a benchmark in advanced recycling and the circular economy.
